WINE FARMING IN CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA
If you’re in / heading to glorious Cape Town, We are very jealous. You lucky bastard!
No trip to Cape Town is complete without a day or two of wine farming. Whats not to love about getting inebriated on gorgeous wine and then drunkenly buying everything you see in all of the farm shops? Oh the jams, tea towels and scented candles I have bought while under the influence of a Sauvignon Blanc Semillon with subtle hints of lime and white peach and a peppery bite on the finish.
See, I was listening…
Just because we hate the idea that someone might miss this gem of a wine farm, we just had to say… go to Babylonstoren. Yes, yes, it’s become wildly popular but that’s because it’s great.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Babylonstoren. The whole experience is a fucking joy to behold. From the farm shop packed full of drunk shopping potential to the drool-worthy gardens and both amazing restaurants. We had to be lured out of there with promises of cheese fondue at our next stop, Delheim.
Next time we’ll be staying at the hotel and languishing shamelessly at the spa. Babylonstoren, brace yourself!
Go immediately but book the restaurant Babel in advance.
