SUNDAYS IN LONDON, COLUMBIA FLOWER MARKET
We love ourselves a good market, so it would be a sin not to share this London gem.
Hidden in the heart of Bethnal Green, this beautiful market HEAVES (in capital letters, so we mean it) with activity every Sunday, with flower sellers bellowing out their prices and people jostling for the best bargains and photo ops.
The obvious draw here is that you get to buy gorgeous blooms at filthy, dirty, cheap prices, browse the coolest independent shops, get inspiration, spend a lot of money and brunch like there’s no tomorrow. Not to mention the epic people watching.
Erm …what's not to fucking love?!
So, if you find yourself in London, on a Sunday, get your arse over to Columbia Road, buy some flowers, chill on the pavement (this is definitely a thing) with a coffee and watch the world go by… preferably near some live music.
Inner city bliss guaranteed!
Some of the places we love:
- Openhouse - This shop is awesome and has a range of furniture and accessories (old and new) to make your flat, oh so pretty.
- Nelly Duff - Awesome prints available at this shop. Our favourite favourites are by the Mexican born, London based street artist Pablo Delgado. Swoon!
- Captured By - LOVE everything about this beautifully curated minimalist concept store. Hipster cool guaranteed.
- Lily Vanilly - Head here if you are feeling a little hungover, their sausage rolls are fucking legendary and will make your morning seem brighter. We promise! Their coffees are also amazing and their cakes are beautiful to look at and even better to eat. Grab a space to sit, if you can find one, or find yourself on said pavement!
There are also some wonderful places on Hackney Road with new cafes opening as we speak. So keep those eyes open for new gems!
